Klecksography

Klecksography is the name given to the process of  making images from inkblots. It is a tool for studying the subconscious, most famously used by psychiatrists Hermann Rorschach in his Rorschach inkblot test. Peoples interpretation of the inkblots are recored and then analysed using psychological explanations, complex algorithms or both. It is said to test personality characteristics, emotional functioning and thought disorders. I am interested in using the process of an ink blot to possibly start off ideas for a painting based on what I interpret it to be.
