Painting onto plastic

I thought it would be an interesting experiment to paint onto the plastic rather than just doing the fluid pours on plastic. Painting in a more figurative way on this material allowed me to peel away parts of the paint and scratch into it to create various different marks that would not be achievable on paper. Doing multiple pieces also meant I could layer them and experiment with letting light through. I was inspired by Tina Jenkins and how she talked about plastic being a cheap material, the ability to play around with transparencies and how it can peel off.
