For MERL we created an immersive sensory dinner party experience. My group worked on the water project placemat and the bee project placemat. Working in a group always brings a different dynamic and I found it beneficial as its always interesting to see how everyone can combine their skills to produce a different outcome compared to individual work.
Seeing people interact with the exhibition was interesting as not all people were sure of whether to touch and interact with the piece or not. After a few people had sat down to view the plate more started to follow.
I enjoyed experimenting with the different plastics and tyvek and combining these methods with a more traditional illustrative style of painting. I am also now aware of how to use audacity and have an understanding of how to make and edit sound.
