Getting the walls to stand up and covering everything in newspaper…

To give the cardboard walls more strength, on the inside I used paper mache with newspaper. The outside of the walls I decided to leave as I think colours contrast the black and white interior, as well as showing its recycled, handmade element. They are made from flattened cardboard boxes, all from shops.

When the card walls are stood up at a slightly curved angle, they do stand up on there own but they are not very sturdy. may have to possibly fix them to the gallery walls some way, still not sure how…

On the walls of the gallery I have used sheets of newspaper as ‘wall paper’. These have come from the Metro, the Spark, a local news paper from home, and a local Reading newspaper. I think the arrangement of these could be quite interesting as certain news stories contrast others.
